Robert “Bob” Kosowski

Robert Kosowski joined Capitol Strategies Group in 2019 after serving three full terms in the Michigan House of Representatives.  As a legislator, he served in leadership as the Caucus Whip and sat on the Appropriations Committee, where he was the ranking Democrat on School Aid, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the State Police Subcommittees. During his tenure in the legislature, Bob also served on various policy committees including Insurance, Energy & Tourism and was the leading Democrat having 17 Public Acts signed in to law.

Before his service in the House, Bob was an administrator for the City of Westland for over 20 years. He is a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University. In 2017, Bob was named Legislator of the Year by the Michigan Municipal League and was the recipient of the Michigan Animal Law “Brandi Award.”

Bob resides in Holt, Michigan with his two sons.
