Daniel Farhat

Daniel Farhat is one of Lansing’s leading lobbyists. His legislative career spans more than 40 years in the state of Michigan, including as staff assistant to the attorney general and then as manager of governmental relations for the Michigan State Medical Society. An experienced coalition-builder, Dan puts people and organizations together for mutual benefit. His knowledge of the legislative process and of governmental regulations has yielded a solid track record of success for multiple clients.

As the firm’s president, Dan is actively involved in the daily management of the firm as well as in strategic counsel and political action efforts. He has demonstrated his ability time and time again by achieving a number of political successes for various clients, including the passage of medical and product liability reforms. These reforms became the blueprint and set the standard for nationwide liability reform legislation. Dan was also integrally involved in the passage of the Michigan Patient Bill of Rights Act, the 1997 Motor Fuel Tax reform, major insurance code revisions and mandatory use of seatbelts in Michigan.

Matthew Miner

Matthew Miner is known around Lansing as a tireless advocate for his clients. He spent over 15 years working on the inside of state government going on to become one of the youngest individuals to be named Chief of Staff to a Majority Leader in the Michigan Senate. Since becoming a lobbyist in 2010, Matthew has been recognized by Crain’s Detroit as one of the “50 Names to Know in Lobbying” and has excelled as a client advocate at CSG. Matthew’s expertise includes strategic planning, public policy development, communications, and political strategy. His strong legislative knowledge and political experience uniquely position him for his role as a client advocate; especially in an era of term limits.

With 24 years of extensive work experience in state government, Matthew has amassed strong understanding of the legislative process and the proven ability to strategize, promote, evaluate and implement political and public policy objectives. He has worked on many major legislative initiatives throughout the years and nearly every state budget since 1998.

Robert Kosowski

Senior Lobbyist

Prior to joining CSG, Robert served three full terms in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2013-2018. As a legislator, he was the Democratic Caucus Whip and served on the Appropriations Committee as the ranking Democrat on School Aid, Department of Health and Human Services, and the State Police Subcommittees. During his tenure, he sat on various policy committees including Insurance, Energy and Tourism, and Local Government. Bob was known in the legislature as a go to member for getting things done, which led him to have 17 Public Acts signed into law.

Before his service in the House, Bob was an administrator for the City of Westland for over 20 years. After Bob was term-limited in the House of Representatives, and prior to joining CSG, he worked for the Michigan Association of Counties as a Governmental Affairs Associate.

He is a graduate of the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University. In 2017 Bob was named Legislator of the Year by the Michigan Municipal League and was recipient of the Michigan Animal Law “Brandi Award – Legislator of the Year.”

Liam Richichi

Office Manager

A former intern at CSG and a student at Michigan State University studying Political Theory, Business, and Management, Liam already has vast experience in the political arena for his age. Starting on campaigns, he has worked on the local, state, and federal level as staff in field outreach, finance and fundraising, call-time, communications, and graphic design. He is the former Chair of the Michigan High School Democrats and currently the Vice President of the Michigan State Democratic Club. He has worked in both the public and private sectors from the state House and Senate to consulting and lobbying firms.

Liam is a 2021 graduate of the Great Lakes Political academy. He puts his background and education to great use by regularly engaging clients and ensuring that they are receiving the utmost representation in Lansing. 

Trisha Kosloski

Projects and Research

Trisha has spent years on campaign trails, working for candidates from all over the state and both sides of the aisle, before finally settling in at Capitol Strategies Group. She puts her background in customer service and communications to use through building client relations,  seeing to the daily administrative tasks, and tackling various projects, including graphic design and fundraising.  


Trisha has earned praise from CSG clients for her highly derailed databases that provide them with all the necessary information pertaining to their issues and the legislation most important to them. Her weekly summary of activities in Lansing, dubbed The CSG Report, is a must read for all clients and is even requested by clients of other local lobbying firms.
